You just can't go wrong with baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring! And look at these nifty test tubes I got at the dollar store.

Spooky Ghost!
Ok, so we are getting a little bit super excited about Halloween! It doesn't help that my girl is obsessed with witches (can you guess what her costume will be?). I thought this simple ghost craft would be a hit, and I was right!
Supplies Needed
- Black construction paper (cut into ghost shape)
- Cotton balls
- White tissue paper
- Glue
Ok, so maybe this ghost is a little Pac-Man-ish.
I wanted a mouth that looks like it's saying, "Boo!", but this isn't my project and I have to listen to the boss. She insisted her ghost has a straight mouth and it just HAD to have a nose. So, here's the finished product!

Watercolor, Glue, and Salt, Oh My!
Supplies Needed:
Watercolors
Water
Paper
Glue (white or clear)
Salt (table salt)
1. We started with one of our favorites around here, WATER COLORING! This kid loves to water color. She is really starting to make gorgeous paintings. And she always has to make at least one rainbow, which I think is adorable (the rainbow was done prior to this project).
Ask them to color as much of the white as they can. Also, I used a piece of cardstock for this.My little Wonder Woman is deep in concentration.
2. Add glue anywhere and everywhere!
3. Sprinkle on some salt. I had to closely monitor this one.. there was salt ALL OVER.
4. Let it dry and there you have it, a masterpiece! Pretty cool looking, am I right? It looks amazing hanging up on our wall and she is so stinkin' proud, as she should be. You go girl!
More Feet Painting - Bubble Wrap
More feet painting! This time we used bubble wrap. I just taped it around her feet, threw some paint on an old cardboard box, and she danced around.
Don't you just love those adorable Tinkerbell jammies?
Be careful, it's slippery!

Shaving Cream Cupcakes
Who doesn't love making cupcakes? We made special cupcakes... out of shaving cream!! (non-edible of course).
Items Needed
- Shaving Cream
- Food coloring
- Piping bag (or ziplock bag)
- Paper cupcake cups
- Decorations (glitter, confetti, beads, etc)
Step 1: Add shaving cream and a few drops of food coloring in bowl, then stir. (She wanted yellow AND blue. She learned that together they make green)
Step 2: . Spoon in piping bag, and squeeze into cupcake cup.

(Don't forget to tell your child that you CANNOT EAT THIS. My munchkin might have tasted a little on her finger.. I mean, we do it all the time when we are really baking, why not do it with these?)
Step 3: Decorate! I had some confetti shapes, leftover green pasta noodles (from when we made a Shamrock Necklace), beads, and some glitter to make it sparkle. One by one she put all the decor on.
And that's it! One cupcake down. The next step is to repeat.
Mixing up some red.
(Notice her shirt also has cupcakes on it? Very fitting.)
All done! (Don't you just love her "cheese!" face?). With so much shaving cream and decorations, it was very heavy and flattened out the cupcake cups. Oh well. Maybe next time we will put them in a muffin pan.
